There are so many inbound marketing resources out there, but most of them feel like endless repetition, even if the person is putting out a new twist to an existing story, the twist usually comes from as slightly different personal experience and take on internet/inbound marketing.
Clearly there still exist a lot of techniques for manipulating Google, and making Google work in your favor. Perhaps not as frequently advertised anymore, as it once used to be, but this kind of marketing is also having a toll on real journalistic information.
I read this piece a few weeks ago:
http://thebaffler.com/salvos/rest-advertising
https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11352159 (HN Discussion for that same article)
and it has stuck with me ever since.
Are there any HN users here that have some interesting insight to share in regards to this context? Perhaps more articles similar to what The Baffler piece is about?
Intrigued by the future of search marketing, but also the way information is going to be presented.
