For the past couple of days a phishing site has been pushed via SMS spam across Canada: 1td.availablepoint.com. It is a fairly classic "enter your credentials or your account will be suspended" attempt, in this case trying to take advantage of TD Bank customers.
When I come across these I immediately submit it to Google's phishing database, and report it to the abuse email of the DNS and hosting site. This has always yielded an almost instant take-down of the site.
Not this one. Emailed it to GoDaddy's abuse email and got a giant robot form letter demanding that I carefully categorize the problem using their online form system. The best part is that the form system doesn't work. Finally I just emailed their media department, and a half day later the site is still taking advantage of gullible Canadians.
GoDaddy is trash. It is a pox on the internet. They do everything worse than anyone.
Excuse this rant.
