The Role: Information Security Engineer - An Information Security Engineer advises on application system designs and architecture plans to imbed security into development, testing and deployments across the development lifecycle.
• Ability to communicate technical security concepts to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. • Familiar application test methodologies and tooling. • Working knowledge of at least one or more of Java, Python, C++ and Ruby. • Experience applying static and/or dynamic analysis in application testing. • Ability to evaluate cryptography choice and implementation. • Passion for automating application security testing and the strengths/weaknesses of test automation. • Experience with security architecture of modern cloud technologies, including multi-tenancy, containerization/virtualization, and control plane and automation services. • A strong knowledge of technology and security topics including; network security, application security, infrastructure hardening and security baselines, web server and database security. • Experience including INFOSEC technology, policy and procedure development and implementation on major industry and Government programs/efforts. • Includes a strong understanding of security policy advocated by the U.S. Government including Department of Defense and appropriate civil agencies, e.g., NIST.
