Interesting how the botnet topology is remarkable well designed. Most clusters have multiple slave nodes connected to masters with each slave node connected to at least two masters. Makes for a very resilient design. This seems to be the point where botnets stop being some teenager's way to cure boredom and start getting used for monetary gain (like the Storm botnet).
