Hi guys, I started this project with my friend where we are making a smart IoT hub that can have 2G/3G/4G, Lora, WiFi, BT, GPS etc. It will be running an interpretter on top of C (on a microcontroller) to allow for quick creation of rules and for adding functionality. C will take care all the low level things (low power, comms, DC/DC). But we are looking for more people to get involved in the project.
We plan to have this used in home, industry and agriculture scenarios where people need to connect sensors and control things like valves via wires or wirelessly.
We spent most of our budget trying to make a kickstarter video (not launched yet, but dont really want to advertise here), but our actual intention is to get people involved so that we can open source it. For now we are planning to continue developing and open-source all of the peripherals for this product as a first step, and if there is demand, we will open source the whole thing.
Thanks!
