Many areas of the hardware industry have GPL compliance issues and many of these also have lockdown, security and or privacy issues. Conservancy has seen Linux-based firmware in refrigerators, baby monitors, virtual assistants, soundbars, doorbells, home security cameras, police body cameras, cars, AV receivers, and televisions. Presumably there are more such as robot vacuum cleaners, mowers, drones or tractors.
