At my company (~500 people), we are exploring ways to enable research as we grow, especially as we start to build new types of products and services and work to significantly improve existing ones.
The biggest debate is whether to have a more decentralized model, with teams self-assembling throughout the company, or a centralized model, tasked with driving these initiatives.
Google shared their Hybrid Approach to Research (https://research.google/pubs/pub38149/). I'm curious what other approaches are out there, and the related pros/cons.
Would love to hear your thoughts!
