If you go to facebook.com, you see "Facebook(big bold blue) appears with tagline -- "Connect with friends and the world around you on Facebook." in this tagline, having "on facebook" isn't recurring and utter waste of a word. I came to facebook and I know i am going to connect to my friends on facebook, where else right ?
