Russia and Ukraine are significant exporters of wheat and other basic food related supplies (https://www.economist.com/leaders/2022/05/19/the-coming-food-catastrophe, or unpaywalled https://archive.is/hobUN).
What could be done to persuade Russia and Ukraine, as well as all related sanctioning countries, to agree on free trading of food related supplies despite the war?
I cannot imagine that either country would disagree, or even the sanctioning EU or related countries like Britain. But no news outlet I regularly consume reports on talks regarding this, as if this wasn't an option at all. Why? There are unrests worldwide at stake, and lives obviously.
