In 2017 Red Hat announced that it gave up on Btrfs and announced a new project, Stratis, that would implement ZFS and Btrfs features using existing technologies such as LVM, LUKS, XFS, mdadm, etc. The idea was to give users a ZFS/Btrfs experience with existing technologies instead of writing a new filesystem.
6 years later I see little talk about it being used in the wild. Actually, I have never heard about anyone using it in their deployments.
Documentation seems spartan and a lot of the proposed features seem to have not been implemented yet.
It seems to be available only on Red Hat distros (including the clones and Fedora).
So, is there any Stratis deployment in the real world that you know of?
