Hi all. I saw [1] and thought it could be implemented neatly with the raycasts/shapecasts afforded by a game engine, so I learnt Godot and made it. It was part-time so took a while (don't do full re-writes!) but here it is. The demo is available on Steam [2] and will be in the upcoming Steam Next Fest.
The code and game is free and open-source, Steam is required for multiplayer. The full-game will be out in November, with some new 'factions' that move differently. Please let me know what you think, especially any bugs!
