I remember reading about Bitcoin for the first time on HN briefly before it reached $1. Now Litecoin has passed the same milestone.
It seems like now that ASICs are mining Bitcoin, GPU miners are moving to Litecoin which is secured with the deliberately ASIC resistant Scrypt algorithm.
